As seen below, Bill and Ted parted ways this weekend for 2 separate eurotrips just so you could witness twice the fun and vicariously live through what is probably the best 4 months of our lives.

SO. This weekend I traveled to AMSTERDAM with JESSY JESS! And let me tell you, Amsterdam is a crazy, crazy place. I would even borrow from Jenn Liu and describe it as outta control. Good thing the goal of this trip was to keep it classy.

Mission accomplished.

The Amsterdamthatwasanawesomeweekend started Thursday evening when Eurocoll skipped class (not a typo) and met Eurojess at the train station. After a low-key evening (HUGE SHOUTOUT TO CAROLINE FOR LETTING US CRASH AT HER PLACE AND BEING THE BEST HOST EVER), we woke up early on Friday to begin our Amsterdam trip.

First stop, the Anne Frank House.

The museum is set up so that you do your own self-guided tour, and stop and read about each room as you make your way through the house. The experience was profound.

By the time we finished, it was lunchtime, so of course we made our way to The Pancake Bakery to eat our feelings. Umm, hello banana and nutella pancake and savory egg/bacon/cheese pancake. Thanks for being you.

The rest of the day was pretty laid back. Jess, Caroline, and I did lots of sightseeing and went to the Albert Cuijp market. We also had some scrumptious dessert and  eventually made quite the trip to the Van Gogh Museum.

So carefree
After our mellow Friday night, we headed to Brugge for Belgian waffles, chocolate, and beer. Oh, and to see Belgium.

After briefly freaking out after being told that we had missed our connecting train and that we were going to be stuck in Antwerp station for the whole night (false alarm), we made it back to Amsterdam. Our final day in pictures....

Navigating Amsterdam like a native

More beer at the Heineken Brewery. Fun fact: Heineken was originally founded in Amsterdam. I bet you feel smarter now.

Iamsterdam sign: A story of struggle with a happy ending. Much like our trip, actually.

Overall, a fantastic and MEMORABLE weekend! Valuable life lessons were learned in Amsterdam.

Now I am really behind but Budapest and Cesky Krumlov updates are on the way, I promise :)
